35 Qurbani Animals in Seribu Islands are Safe from FMD

They have passed through health checks

The Seribu Islands Regency administration ensured that as many as 35 Qurbani animals in Seribu Islands are safe from consumption after passing through health checks.

Besides being free of foot and mouth disease (FMD), the 34 Qurbani animals to be distributed were declared fit and healthy by the authorities.

Seribu Islands Vice Regent Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan disclosed that those animals would be distributed to 11 residential islands ahead of Idul Adha 1443 Hijri.

"They have passed through health checks from the Seribu Islands Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency," he expressed, Friday (7/8).

He also appreciated all parties who distributed animals for qurban to the islanders. These parties were from Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), Nusantara Regas, PHE OSES, PT Bumi Pari, and Bank DKI.

KPKP Sub-agency Head Devi Lidya added that she was collaborating with the Indonesian Veterinary Association (PDHI) in supervising the slaughter of Qurbani animals on residential islands.

"There is about 27 personnel to supervise 14 places for slaughtering Qurbani animals in six urban villages," she stated.
